A security threat was reported on IndiGo’s Mumbai to Delhi flight, 6E762, on the 30th of September. The alert, which was a hoax bomb threat, prompted authorities to conduct necessary security checks on the aircraft as per protocol. IndiGo confirmed to India Today that there was a security threat perception, leading to the immediate alerting of security personnel. The aircraft was sanitized and underwent a complete security check. According to sources, "the flight has been given clearance for takeoff which means that nothing suspicious was found on that particular flight." While the incident caused inconvenience for the passengers on board, they were provided with refreshments and information regarding the delay. An investigation is now expected to determine the origin of the hoax threat.
