Vishal shared poignant memories of Captain Vikram Batra, posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his heroic actions in recapturing Points 5140 and 4875 in the Drass sector. He recounted the profound grief of losing his brother, who was martyred on July 7, 1999, at age 24, while saving a fellow officer, Lt. Naveen Anaberu, during a fierce battle at Point 4875, now called Batra Top. Vishal highlighted Vikram’s iconic battle cry, “Yeh Dil Maange More,” which became a national symbol of valor, and his unwavering commitment, exemplified by his words, “Either I will hoist the Tricolor, or I will come back wrapped in it.” He spoke of the family’s enduring pain, recalling the heart-wrenching moment of identifying Vikram’s body and performing his last rites, yet expressed pride in his legacy as the “Sher Shah” of Kargil.
