Heavy rains have caused widespread damage across northern India, severely impacting daily life in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Ladakh. In Himachal Pradesh, flash floods in Manali washed away shops and a restaurant, while landslides have led to the closure of 482 roads, including four national highways. The Kullu-Manali-Leh National Highway has sustained damage.
