A 26-year-old youth named Kapil, from Barahkala village in Haryana, has been shot dead in America. He had travelled to the US in 2022 using an illegal immigration method known as the ‘donkey route’, a journey that cost his family 45 lakh rupees. The incident reportedly occurred when Kapil attempted to stop a man from urinating in a public space. Following the confrontation, the accused shot him. Kapil, who was born in May 2000, was the only heir of his family and had gone to the US seeking a better future. He was taken to a hospital but was declared dead. His family is now grieving and faces the financial challenge of repatriating his body to India.
