Following the Haryana Assembly elections, the Congress party is in introspection mode. The party’s top brass, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallika Arjun Kharge, held a meeting to identify the issues that led to their defeat. Notably absent from the meeting were Kumari Selja, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Bhupinder Singh Hooda. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi criticised the State Congress unit, stating that leaders’ interests were prioritised over the party’s. The party is reportedly planning to take action against those leaders who they believe damaged the electoral prospects of the Congress in Haryana.
