The Gujarat government is expected to announce a committee for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi will make the announcement at 12:15 PM. The committee, likely comprising 3-5 members headed by a retired Gujarat High Court judge, will seek suggestions from across the state before UCC implementation. Gujarat may become the second state after Uttarakhand to adopt UCC.
