Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla Exclusive Interview at India Today Conclave 2025 Mumbai

Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla recently detailed his experiences from a historic 2025 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This mission marked the first time the Indian flag reached the ISS, featuring a conversation in Hindi with the nation’s Prime Minister. Shukla described the rapid acceleration during spaceflight, reaching 28,500 kilometers per hour in eight and a half minutes, and the body’s physiological adaptations to microgravity, including blood redistribution and spinal elongation. The mission conducted 11 experiments, with seven being India-specific, advancing microgravity research in areas like stem cell research for muscle degeneration and microalgae research for food security. Group Captain Shukla also discussed India’s future space exploration initiatives, including the Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission targeted for 2027 and the development of the Bharatiya Antarik Station. He highlighted the rigorous training undertaken in international facilities and India’s ambition for a lunar footprint by 2040, noting the increasing interest in space careers among Indian youth. #indianspacemission #issmission #spaceflight #microgravity #indianastronaut #spaceresearch #stemcellresearch #microalgae #foodsecurity #humanspaceflight #gaganyaan #dragonspacecraft #fighterpilot #spaceexploration #scienceinspace #futureofspace #indiainspace #spacedreams #learningfromfailure #spaceadaptation #2025spacemission #shubhanshushukla #axiom4mission #iss #bharatiyaantarikstation #cosmonauttraining #astronauttraining #yurigagarincenter #nasa #spacex #indiaspaceprogram #orbitalsunrise #earthfromspace #moonmission #marsmission #isro #indianrocket #spaceecosystem #globalspacecommunity
