Two LPG tankers, Sivalik and Nanda Devi, carrying more than 92,000 metric tonnes of LPG combined are arriving at Mundra Port in Gujarat. Sivalik, carrying over 45,000 metric tonnes of LPG, is expected to dock at around 5 pm after multiple delays throughout the day. The vessel was initially scheduled to arrive at 10:30 am, then delayed to 2:40 pm, before the final arrival time was set at 5:40 pm. The tanker will be given priority facilities at the jetty upon arrival. The shipment is considered crucial for domestic LPG supply chains, with the government prioritising distribution to domestic cylinder users before commercial customers. The arrival is being described as a significant relief for the government and domestic LPG consumers.
