With heavy rain benefiting farmers, the government decided to celebrate the Mysuru Dasara festival in a grand manner this year. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed the allocation of necessary funds. The nine-day festival starts on October 3 and concludes with the Jamboo Savari on October 12. Local artistes will have greater opportunities, and 18 elephants are shortlisted for the parade.
