In an interview, Kerala BJP Chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar questioned the state government’s role, stating, ‘that you would see a day when a sitting government would… actually be responsible for looting gold from a sacred shrine like Sabarimala.’ He has also demanded an investigation into the last 30 years of all devaswoms, alleging that approximately 25,000 acres of temple land have also been stolen.
