In a major breakthrough five days after the deadly Goa nightclub fire that claimed 25 lives, co-owners Saurav and Gaurav Luthra have been detained in Phuket, Thailand. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant confirmed the development, stating, ‘With the help of the Minister of External Affairs or the Minister of Home Affairs, We have detained them in Thailand.’ While the brothers are in custody, their return to India faces procedural delays due to revoked passports, requiring the issuance of emergency travel certificates. The India Today report reveals that the Luthras are linked to 42 companies registered to a single Delhi address, raising suspicions of shell operations. Authorities are coordinating with the CBI and Thai officials to expedite their deportation and arrest.
