The probe has established that co-owner Ajay Gupta was present in Goa on December 6, the night of the incident, before fleeing to Delhi the following morning. Tripathi confirms, ‘Ajay was present in Goa on 6th of December when this incident happened. After this incident happened, he fled to Delhi on the next day.’ The report also highlights that the other partners, the Luthra brothers, fled to Phuket, Thailand, shortly after the tragedy. Gupta is currently in the custody of the Goa Police as the investigation into the illegal construction and safety lapses continues.
