Over 100 children have been hospitalised in just two days due to contaminated drinking water in Sectors 24, 28, and Adivada. The crisis, caused by sewage lines leaking into water pipelines, has prompted Union Home Minister Amit Shah to direct immediate action. Pritesh Joshi notes, ‘The problem occurs in three different parts… more than 20 leakages in the pipeline… caused contaminated water to flow to different houses.’ The report highlights the administration’s delayed response despite early complaints. Authorities have now surveyed 30,000 households, and while 90 patients have been discharged, over 113 remain under treatment at the Civil Hospital.
