Galgotias University Apologises For Robodog Row | AI Summit 2026 | Neha Singh | Noida

Galgotias University has issued a formal apology following a massive controversy at the India AI Impact Summit in Delhi, where it was accused of passing off a Chinese-made robotic dog as its own innovation. The university stated that an ‘ill-informed’ representative provided ‘factually incorrect information’ without authorisation. Following government orders, the university vacated its pavilion after its electricity connection was disconnected. Meanwhile, in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that former State Congress chief Bhupen Bora will join the BJP on February 22, describing him as the ‘last recognized Hindu leader’ in the state Congress. Bora cited a lack of self-respect and internal infighting as reasons for his exit. Additionally, a gruesome murder has been reported in Indore, where a 24-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her live-in partner. The accused, who showed no remorse, was arrested in Maharashtra after attempting to malign the victim’s character post-mortem.
