A shepherd from Belgaum, Karnataka, has cracked the UPSC civil services examination with an All India Rank of 551. Bir Deva Dhoni, hailing from Yamge village in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur district, will join the Indian Police Service. After graduating in civil engineering, Dhoni prepared for the UPSC exam for two years in Delhi and cleared it in his third attempt. Images of his celebration with relatives and goats have been widely shared on social media.
