Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the Economic Survey in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, projecting an optimistic growth forecast of 6.5 to 7% for the financial year 2024-25.
Neelkanth Mishra, Chief Economist at Axis Bank, during Republic Business’s special segment Nation Wants to Grow, expressed confidence in the revised growth trend, stating, "Our trend growth has moved up to 7%. In fact, the years before the pandemic saw a slowdown driven by a decrease in capital formation. We have been saying for a while that our trend growth should be getting bumped up to about 7%."
