The Food Safety Department in Uttar Pradesh has implemented a new initiative for the Kanwar Yatra route, requiring dhabas to display QR code stickers. These stickers provide access to the dhaba’s license number, registration details, and owner information through a Food Safety Connect app. The move comes after last year’s controversy regarding displaying names of dhaba owners. The department has also instructed dhaba owners to install CCTV cameras, maintain cleanliness, and serve only vegetarian food during the Savan month for Kanwar pilgrims. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and allow customers to easily access information or file complaints about the eateries. #foodsafety #kanwaryatra #uttarpradesh #itwebvideos #dhabas #qrcodes #transparency #customerrights #foodregulation #indiatoday
