The world’s first space-baked chocolate chip cookie, made aboard the International Space Station in 2019, is now on display at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. Preserved in a nitrogen-filled case to prevent aroma loss and decay, the cookie still retains its fresh scent. The baking experiment, a joint effort by Hilton, Nanoracks, and Zero-G Kitchen, tested baking in microgravity. Now it rests beside other food artifacts inside the Destiny lab module exhibit.
