A senior finance ministry official, Navjot Singh, was killed and his wife critically injured after their motorcycle was hit by a BMW car near Dholakpur in Delhi. The driver of the car, Gagandeep Makar, has been arrested. Following the collision, Navjot Singh was transported to a hospital 19 kilometres from the crash site, bypassing several nearer medical facilities. He was declared brought dead at the hospital. The victim’s family is questioning the circumstances following the accident, with one member stating, "The collision might have been an accident. But the events that transpired after were definitely a murder." The family alleges the victims were deliberately taken to a distant hospital.
