A senior officer in the Ministry of Finance, Navjot Singh, was killed and his wife, Sandeep Kaur, was critically injured when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding BMW near Dholakwa in Delhi. The driver of the car, Gaganpreet Makkar, has been arrested. Instead of taking the couple to nearby major hospitals, the accused drove them 19 kilometers to a different facility. The victim’s family questions this decision, suggesting the delay may have been fatal. A family member stated, "We took him to the mortuary… there were flies on him." The family also claimed the critically injured wife was left on a stretcher for hours before receiving treatment.
