A Muslim cleric has issued a fatwa against actor-turned-politician Vijay for allegedly inviting alcoholics and gamblers to an Iftar party. The ulema accuses the TVK chief of anti-Islamic conduct and political opportunism. The fatwa advises Muslims in Tamil Nadu not to include such people in religious programs, calling Vijay’s actions ‘illegal and sinful’.
