Farmers’ organisations held a major protest at the Khanauri border in Punjab’s Sangrur on November 26. At the Khanauri border, Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said, "… Surjit Singh Hardo Jhanda will sit on an indefinite hunger strike in some time. Either the central government or the Punjab government arrested Jagjit Singh Dalewal at 2.30 am. They wanted to fail the strategy of both the forums and end our indefinite strike. They will not succeed in it. Another farmer leader is going to sit till the time our demands are met. The centre has 10 days. They should open the door for dialogue. Otherwise, we will march to Delhi from Shambhu on December 6… Jagjit Singh Dalewal has said that he has also started his indefinite hunger strike…"
