The probe, which led to multiple arrests, uncovered a plot where cars including a Hyundai i20, a Ford EcoSport, a Brezza, and a Swift Dzire were allegedly being prepared for attacks. According to reporter Shreya Chatterjee, ‘all four cars the investigators suggest were to be turned and designed into death machines.’ The National Security Guard’s bomb disposal team was deployed to examine a recovered Ford EcoSport for explosives, which was allegedly used to transport ammonium nitrate. An assault rifle was also recovered from one of the vehicles registered to Dr. Shaheen Shaheed, one of the individuals under investigation.
