A fan, Sharath Kumar, was allegedly manhandled and thrown off a high ramp by the actor-politician’s bouncers while trying to approach him. Kumar, who sustained a chest injury, has filed a complaint against Vijay and his bouncers on three serious charges, including abetting a serious crime. The incident, captured on video, has sparked widespread criticism of the ‘bouncer culture’ surrounding the new politician. Critics are questioning his image as a leader for the masses, with one asking, "He is your fan. He has come to this place, crossing all security measures. And he is with his enthusiasm. He wanted to see his leader. He wanted to see his hero. And this is the way you treat him? Push him off, throw him."
