For decades, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has used terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) as proxies to wage asymmetric warfare against India. The 2024 terror attacks in Reasi, Sonamarg, and Z-Mor Tunnel highlight a renewed effort to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan’s terror infrastructure operates through radicalization, recruitment, and training camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and tribal areas. Weapons recovered in J&K—including Steyr AUG rifles and M4 carbines—point to direct Pakistani military links. Secure digital communication networks and terror financing via narcotics, hawala, and counterfeit currency further enable these activities.
Globally, Pakistan’s actions violate its commitments to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), warranting a return to the blacklist and stricter international sanctions. India must strengthen military surveillance, counterterrorism operations, and global alliances to combat Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism.
With terror groups growing more sophisticated, Pakistan faces a choice—dismantle its terror networks or face increasing global isolation. The world cannot afford to ignore the threat it poses. Accountability is non-negotiable.
