While the Congress is looking all set to get a clear majority in the Haryana Assembly polls and return to power, its alliance with the National Conference is likely to stay ahead of the pack in Jammu and Kashmir, the CVoter exit poll shown by India Today has predicted.
However, unlike Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir is most likely to see a hung Assembly. The Congress-NC combine may win 40 to 48 seats, while the BJP is likely to win 27–32 seats. Mehbooba Mufti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may get 6–12 seats.
