The Indian Armed Forces conducted Exercise Agni Varsha, a major firepower demonstration at the Pokhran Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan near the Pakistan border. The exercise showcased high-intensity, network-centric operations featuring T-90 Bhishma tanks, K-9 Vajra self-propelled howitzers, Sharang and Bofors 155mm howitzers, and rocket systems. AH-64 Apache helicopters and indigenous ALH weaponized helicopters provided close air support while surveillance and strike drones engaged targets alongside counter-drone systems. The demonstration highlighted seamless coordination across armor, artillery, aviation, and unmanned aerial systems. Journalists from 25 countries witnessed the integrated firepower display. Simultaneously, two international exercises are underway: Dharma Guardian with Japan and Vajraprahar with the United States. Another firepower demonstration exercise, Kharga Shakti, took place on the same front. The exercises emphasize the Indian Army’s transformation from a man-driven force to a technology-driven force, showcasing readiness for combat operations and sending a strategic message to adversaries globally.
