In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu addresses concerns over rising airfares during the festive season, stating the ministry and DGCA are monitoring prices. The minister also responds to two separate aviation incidents. Regarding the uncommanded Ram Air Turbine (RAT) deployment on the Amritsar-Birmingham AI-117 flight, he confirms the DGCA is investigating to find the root cause. Addressing the controversy surrounding the AAIB’s investigation into the Air India crash this year, he responds to allegations made by Captain Sabarwal’s father. Assuring a clean investigation, the minister said, "there is no manipulation or there is no dirty business happening in the investigation. It is a very clean and very thorough process that we are doing according to the rules that we have been set up." He notes that it is too early to comment on the preliminary report and a final report is awaited.
