The Chief Minister confirmed the scale of the tragedy, stating, "The number of missing as of now is in the region of about 70. 70 to 80 that is verified information." He reported the death toll is around 60, with more than 50 injured individuals transferred to Jammu for medical care. Rescue is the current focus for the government, with multiple agencies like the SDRF, NDRF, and Army deployed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been briefed on the situation.
