Security forces neutralised three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in a major counter-terror operation in Chhatru, Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The joint operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF destroyed a fortified terror hideout carved deep into the hills. Among those killed was dreaded Jaish terror commander Saifullah, who had been active in the region for over two years. The hideout contained weapons, ammunition, incriminating documents, supplies, and personal belongings, indicating prolonged use by the militants. Saifullah and his group were part of a seven-member terror module that infiltrated in 2024 and carried out multiple attacks on security forces and civilians in the area. The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs about terrorist presence in the location. The structure was pounded and completely destroyed, with no escape route available to the militants.
