The family of Pooja Khedkar, a dismissed IAS officer, is facing allegations of abduction. Following a car accident near Navi Mumbai, members of the Khedkar family allegedly abducted the other driver involved. According to the report, "they pushed the driver in their luxury car. They forcefully brought him to the Pune and locked him in the room." When Pune police traced the car to the Khedkar residence in the Baner area, Pooja Khedkar’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, allegedly obstructed the investigation and misbehaved with the officers. Pune police are reportedly initiating an additional case against her for obstruction in government work. The vehicle involved was found to be registered to ‘Pooja automobiles’, a business belonging to the Khedkar family.
