The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (UPSTF) has uncovered a fake embassy operating from a rented bungalow in Ghaziabad, leading to the arrest of the alleged mastermind, Harshvardhan Jain. He posed as a diplomat for non-existent countries such as West Artica, Saborga, and Londonia. To support his claims, Jain used luxury cars with fake diplomatic number plates and morphed photographs of himself with global leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The operation, which was raided on July 22nd, was allegedly set up to defraud individuals and companies with promises of overseas business deals and employment, and to run a Hawala network through shell companies. The investigation has also revealed Jain’s past alleged links with controversial godman Chandraswamy and international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi.
