Tamil Nadu Language Row | The language row between the DMK and the Centre is heating up over the National Education Policy (NEP).
The DMK argues that the NEP undermines the state’s autonomy over its educational policies and that its language model has been successful. They also contend that the Centre cannot threaten to withhold funds for not implementing the NEP. The Education Min Dharmendra Pradhan, on the other hand, maintains that all Indian languages are equal and that the NEP is designed to be flexible, allowing states to customize its implementation.
