The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids at the Bhilai residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his son, Chaitanya Baghel. The action is reportedly in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged liquor scam. According to sources, an ED team arrived at the residence early in the morning, with CRPF personnel securing the premises. This development comes as a parallel investigation by the state’s ACB and EOW is also underway. In that case, a fourth supplementary charge sheet was recently filed. A reporter on the broadcast noted the source-based nature of the information, stating, "it is just a source based information that it is on the liquor scam." The raid occurred while Mr. Baghel, who was scheduled to raise the issue of tree felling for a coal mine in the Vidhan Sabha, was at his Bhilai residence.
