The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed its first charge sheet in the National Herald case against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The ED is set to take over 700 crore worth assets linked to Associated Journal Limited (AJL). The agency is probing the alleged illegal takeover of AJL properties worth about 2,000 crores for a nominal sum of 500 lakhs. The Congress has called it a ‘fake case’ and plans nationwide protests outside ED headquarters.
