The Election Commission on Monday listed out documents required for voter roll revision as it announced phase two of the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in 12 states and Union Territories. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said the state and and Union Territories where the SIR will be conducted include Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Among these, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and West Bengal will go to the polls in 2026.
