Dubai International Airport came under a drone attack that struck a fuel tank in the vicinity of the airport, causing a fire. Civil defence teams in Dubai have contained the fire resulting from the impact to the fuel tank, and no injuries have been reported. UAE air defence authorities intercepted four ballistic missiles and six drones. The attack occurred amid escalating tensions in West Asia, following strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island by US and Israeli air forces. Iran had issued warnings targeting UAE areas including Dubai Airport, claiming the strikes originated from UAE land. Air services have been impacted by the latest disruptions, with operations not running at full capacity. UAE authorities are working to ensure essential services and passenger travel continue despite the security situation.
