India Today Bureau Chief Pramod Madhav reports that a staggering 14.25 lakh voters have been removed from the electoral rolls in Chennai alone. The deletions are attributed to various categories, including voters who have shifted, expired, or are not found at their registered addresses. The report also highlights substantial deletions in other districts, with Coimbatore seeing nearly 6.5 lakh names removed. A detailed press conference by the Tamil Nadu Election Commission is scheduled for 5:30 PM today to address these revisions.
