Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh, a dentist by profession, won the Vikaspuri constituency in West Delhi, defeating AAP’s Mahinder Yadav by approximately 12,800 votes. Singh, a Purvanchali Thakur, took the oath as a minister. His victory, along with Kapil Mishra’s, a Purvanchali Brahmin, sends a strong message about BJP’s support from Purvanchal voters in the recent elections.
