A dowry death has been reported from Tamil Nadu where a newlywed woman died by suicide after alleged torture by her in-laws. The victim, Hridyana, left a heartbreaking message for her parents, saying she couldn’t bear the mental and physical torture. Her father had given 800 grams of gold and a 70 lakh Volvo SUV as dowry. The husband, Kevin, and his parents have been arrested.
