Trump attacked the Obama administration’s Iran nuclear deal, calling it a disaster, and highlighted his decision to terminate it and kill General Qasem Soleimani. He stated that America does not need oil from the Strait of Hormuz and that countries needing it must come forward themselves. Trump indicated that once American operations conclude, the Strait of Hormuz will open automatically as Iran will lose its chokehold. He clarified that regime change was never one of the objectives, contradicting earlier statements from within his administration.
