The political conflict between the DMK and actor Vijay’s TVK in Tamil Nadu has intensified, with a DMK MLA making a personal threat. The MLA stated that if Vijay fails to name 50 of his party’s carders, “he will take a whip and crack Vijay on his back.” This follows a series of accusations by Vijay during his campaign tour in Nagapattinam, where he alleged a lack of a fisheries university and environmental protection. He also claimed the government imposes excessive restrictions on his rallies, unlike those for the Prime Minister and Home Minister. The DMK government has fact-checked these claims, stating that similar restrictions, including 20 specific rules on April 9th of last year, were also in place for the Prime Minister’s visit. Vijay, who is on a statewide tour until December, has also made personal remarks, referring to the 70-year-old Chief Minister as ‘Stalin-Uncle’.
