India Today correspondent Anagha Keshav reports on the DMK’s move to impeach Madras High Court Justice G.R. Swaminathan. A delegation of INDIA bloc MPs, including Kanimozhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Akhilesh Yadav, submitted a notice with 120 signatures to the Lok Sabha Speaker. The controversy stems from the judge’s order allowing a ‘Deepam’ to be lit near a Dargah in Thiruparankundram, which the DMK government argues could cause communal disharmony. A contempt hearing is scheduled for 3 PM today.
