Diwali 2025: CM Yogi Adityanath Celebrates Diwali With Sanitation Workers & Sailors In Ayodhya
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked Diwali by visiting the colony of sanitation workers in Ayodhya’s Nishad Basti and Devkali settlements, where he distributed sweets, fruits, and Diwali kits on behalf of the state government. He praised their dedication to cleanliness, calling their efforts a key part of Ayodhya’s transformation into a global symbol of faith and hygiene. Adityanath emphasized unity and vigilance against divisive forces, urging residents to celebrate responsibly—lighting lamps in every home as a symbol of Ayodhya’s spirit while cautiously bursting firecrackers to avoid harm. He described Diwali as a "beacon of hope" and the eternal victory of truth over darkness, invoking blessings from Lord Ram and Mata Janaki for faith and harmony. This outreach aligns with his tradition of honoring frontline workers, including past recognitions of sailors and health staff during events like Mahakumbh 2025, where he announced bonuses and Ayushman Bharat health cards worth ₹5 lakh for sanitation workers. The visit preceded the grand Deepotsav finale, where over 26 lakh diyas illuminated the Saryu River ghats, setting Guinness World Records for the largest diya display and synchronized aarti by 2,100 priests—highlighting Ayodhya’s revival under his leadership.
