On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court heard a plea from Karisma’s two children, Samaira and Kiaan, seeking a share of their late father’s estate, valued at about ₹30,000 crore. The children filed this request after Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, Priya, presented a will at a family meeting on July 30, which she claims was executed on March 21. Priya is also seeking to stop the transfer or sale of the property. Samaira and Kiaan have filed a civil lawsuit in the Delhi High Court, claiming that their stepmother Priya attempted to forge their father’s will to take full control of his assets. Priya married Sunjay in 2017. Karisma and Sunjay were married from 2003 to 2016. They have two children, born in 2005 and 2011. Samaira filed the case through her mother, Karisma Kapoor, acting as her general power of attorney, while Kiaan, who is a minor, is represented by Karisma in her role as his legal guardian. The lawsuit further claims that Priya’s actions clearly show the will has been fabricated.
