The parents of Ashok Chakra awardee Major Mohit Sharma have moved the Delhi High Court, alleging the film portrays their son’s life and covert operations without consent. The family contends this violates their ‘right to privacy and dignity’. The High Court has directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to consider the family’s objections and evaluate if the film requires clearance from the Indian Army before certification. The producers have denied the film is a biopic.
