In the ongoing Dharamsthala probe, the exhumation process has yielded 25 bone fragments at a location identified as ‘spot 6’ by a former sanitation worker. This development is being called a "sensational breakthrough in this entire case." The worker alleged he had buried over 100 bodies on the banks of the Netravati river. While searches at five previous spots found no human remains, attributed possibly to floods, the discovery at the sixth site has provided new evidence. These skeletal remains, believed to be from a male body, have been sent to a Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis. The police are now continuing the exhumation at a seventh spot, as activists demand the use of Ground Penetrating Radar to locate other potential burial sites.
