In dharmasthala, Karnataka, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has found suspected human remains at an eleventh flagged location during an ongoing exhumation process. This marks the second site where remains have been discovered after six days of searching. Police sources have acknowledged the recovery, but are awaiting forensic confirmation. Previously, the SIT had found partial skeletal remains, believed to be male, at site number six. This was the first physical evidence recovered from any of the 15 locations identified by a whistleblower, a former sanitation worker. The whistleblower “claims to have been coerced into burying and cremating several bodies between 1998 and 2014, many of them allegedly showing signs of sexual assault.”
