Authorities now report that a skull the ‘masked man’ produced as key evidence is also fake. The case, which received global attention, is now focused on determining the motive behind the allegations. A key question is whether he acted alone to malign the Manjunatha Swamy temple or if he was directed by others. The state’s Home Minister had previously stated, "If the masked man or the whistleblower has given false information, there would be action against him too," which has now been initiated with this arrest.
