In Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, two people died in a tragic accident during the construction of a railway overbridge near Sagore (Pithampur area). A crane lifting a girder suddenly toppled and crushed a passing pickup truck, killing the driver and conductor inside. The victims were identified as Abhay Kumar and Parmar. Four others were injured and hospitalized. Dhar ASP Parul Belapurkar said the case was registered on October 27, bodies sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway into the construction team. Two more cranes are clearing the site; rescue took two hours. Local advocate Rajesh Chaudhary alleged negligence by railway officials and the contractor due to unstable ground and no service road.
